Cougars snag California gem

Washington State has landed one of the top 100 players in the state of California. This time it’s an offensive lineman from one of the most talented teams in the state. So who jumped on the commit list for the Cougars?
The newest pledge is Los Alamitos, Calif., two-star offensive guard Daniel Rowlands. Rowlands committed on Thursday but word of his pledge started to make the rounds over the weekend.

“It’s true,” Rowlands, who is 6-foo-5 and 270 pounds, said. “I just felt like it was the right time to go ahead and get the decision out of the way. I felt really comfortable about them when I went up there for my visit two weeks ago, and I figured what would be a better situation than Washington State?”
Apparently offers from Arizona, BYU, Northwestern, Oregon State and Fresno State weren’t. Rowlands also visited Oregon State and had visits lined up throughout the month of December, but those have been canceled now.
