Cougars pickup Texas OL

The decision was a holiday event for Midlothian, Texas offensive guard/tackle prospect Jordan Shoemaker.
On Christmas Day, the 6-foot-3, 258-pounder made his decision to attend Houston over offers from UTEP and SMU. The choice was an easy one once he saw the way the team acted around each other.

"It was the personality," Shoemaker said of Houston. "They way they play, like to play, and practice, fit me as a player. Plus the coaches are awesome. I really liked them when I was there."
Shoemaker who played guard and defensive end in high school, says that a different spot will be the one he plays in college.
"More than likely I'll redshirt when I get there," Shoemaker said. "I am also probably going to play right tackle too. I'm fine with the redshirt because I wanted that fifth year to prepare."
"It was just the right place for me."
