Cougars pick up Alabama athlete

The University of Houston has them a television-star athlete. Korey Reynolds, straight off the MTV series "Two-a-Days," which depicts the Hoover (Ala) High School football experience, committed to the Cougars after his visit to Houston for the Tulsa win.
Reynolds (6-3, 250-pounds) started this season at defensive end for the Buccaneers, after playing behind several Division I prospects the past three years.

"He's one of those kids who waited their turn and stepped it up their senior season," Hoover defensive line coach Chris Davis said. "He didn't have a lot of offers coming into the season because of who he was playing behind, but they are coming in now.
"He's got great work ethic and comes from winning," he said. "His size, strength and ability to make plays will make him a solid contributor."
Other than Houston, Reynolds has been offered by Hawaii and is being pursued by Ole Miss and Kentucky.
"I think he's pretty solid," Davis said. "He really liked his visit and what they did against Tulsa. I know he's interested to see how they do against Southern Mississippi this weekend and the bowl game. He was impressed with the city of Houston."
Hoover's offensive and defensive line has produced four SEC verbal commitments to date and the school should sign up to 12 Division I prospects by February.
As for the television cameras?
"The next series is coming out soon for this year," Davis said. "It was weird at first but now the kids see the camera guys as just another coach out there."
