Cougars land a good one!

The Washington State Cougars landed one of the Golden State’s fastest rising prospects when defensive lineman/tight end Aaron Johnson (6-6, 250, 4.79) from Fairfield (Calif.) Armijo committed to Mike Price and staff earlier this morning.
“Washington State has been there from the beginning,” Aaron’s Father Don Johnson said. “Washington State treated him well and they got to know him as a person, not just as a football player.”

“Coach (Mike) Price and his coaching staff are outstanding individuals,” Johnson said. “I feel very good about having my son go there.”
“Aaron told Ruth Robbins of RealDawg.com before any of the coaches involved,” Johnson said. “I want to say thanks to Ruth for her professionalism. She held the story until Aaron could contact the coaches involved.”
The Cougars will bring Johnson in as an athlete. He could end up playing tight end, defensive line or if he grows more he could end up as an offensive lineman.
Johnson was selected all-league on both sides of the ball as a senior as a tight end and defensive lineman. He was also voted Offensive lineman of the League for his performance as senior. Johnson was also voted all-city.
