Three-star Illinois safety Sean Cotton may be making a decision before too long and one school is sticking out.
The 6-foot-2, 197-pound defensive back from Melrose Park (Ill.) Walther Lutheran recently visited a school from the Mid-American Conference. That school is now at the top of his list.
"The Eastern Michigan visit was great," Cotton said on Tuesday. "I liked the coaches. Coach (Ron) English is a great guy and he coaches the safeties so that's a bonus. I liked the players. The campus and facilities are nice. I really liked the visit."
Cotton is trying to decide whether to visit North Dakota State. He's also waiting to hear whether West Virginia and New Mexico State might show more interest.
"The last time I heard from West Virginia was about a week ago, they reached out to my dad," he recalled. "Same thing with New Mexico State."
For now, though, Cotton feels like that offer from Eastern Michigan is his most attractive option.
"I'm leaning towards Eastern Michigan right now," he admitted.
Cotton is ranked the No. 34 safety in the nation and the No. 12 prospect in Illinois.
