Cottom looking ahead

Newtown (Pa.) Council Rock North athlete Brandon Cottom is starting to generate some buzz on the recruiting trails and he's starting to think about his plans for the next couple of months as well.
The 6-foot-2, 233-pound athlete is a unique football player and his versatility is something college coaches love. He currently holds offers from Duke, Rutgers and Syracuse, with the Orange being the most recent to throw their hat into the ring.

Cottom visited Princeton on Saturday but admitted the school is probably not a serious option for him.
"I'm going up to Duke for their one-day camp on June 12th, I think," he said. "I'm pretty sure I'm going to Purdue for one of their one-day camps but I'm not totally sure yet."
Though Purdue has not yet offered, Cottom said he is "pretty sure they are very interested," which means an offer might be on the way before too long.
He went on to say he will be at Penn State not once but twice in the immediate future. He will check out the Nittany Lions' spring game and the following week he will return to the school for a NIKE event.
Last month Cottom said he was thinking about trimming his list. He hasn't done that yet but reiterated that he might soon. What will he be looking for in a college?
"I'm looking for good coaches and a stable program," he replied. "I'm looking for a good fit for me and how the education is."
