Costello ready for three visits

K.J. Costello had two Pac-12 visits planned for this weekend and the 2016 quarterback has now squeezed in a third trip.
The Rancho Santa Margarita (Calif.) Santa Margarita Catholic standout said this past weekend at the Huntington Beach 7on7 that he will visit UCLA on Friday before weekend jaunts to Stanford and Arizona State.

"I was talking to coach (Noel) Mazzone," Costello said. "I did pretty well at the camp. He first thought I was 2015 so obviously he wasn't going to make any moves. They definitely want to fill that 2016 class with the best quarterback as well.
"I really like that coach Mazzone said he only recruits guys he believes are first-round draft picks. He tries to bring in guys with talent who also have potential, guys he can work with and mold into that first-round draft pick."
Costello, who recently shined at the UCLA Elite Camp, said he's developed a good relationship with Mazzone, the offensive coordinator and his son, Taylor, the quarterbacks coach, over the last few months.
His visit over to Westwood on Friday will also be to spend some time with UCLA coach Jim Mora and it could be an important trip. The Bruins have not offered yet but they've shown a good deal of interest in Costello this off-season.
"I really like coach Mazzone as well as Taylor, his son," Costello said. "I'm heading up there Friday to sit down with coach Mora and get a feel for him as well. That should be really cool for me and we'll see how things turn out."
On Saturday night, Costello will camp at Stanford, another school that has shown a bunch of interest in him recently and then on Sunday the 2016 quarterback will take a trip to Arizona State.
So far, Costello has been offered by Alabama, Arizona State, Boise State, Cal, Florida, Florida State, Miami, Michigan, Oregon State, Tennessee and Virginia.
