Cortazzo lands new offer

Wide receiver Tim Cortazzo headed up to South Bend for the Adidas Combine a couple weeks back and followed that up with an appearance at the NIKE Camp at Penn State. The 6-foot-1, 180-pounder out of Irwin (Pa.) Penn Trafford had solid efforts and picked up another scholarship offer.
"It went really well, I had my best 40-time and shuttle there," he said of the Adidas. "They clocked me in on the 40 at 4.42 seconds, but some people said I was even faster. I also felt I did really well in the one-on-ones. I really blew away the competition and couldn't be stopped."

While at Notre Dame, Cortazzo checked out the university.
"My cousin goes to school there and she showed me around campus," he said. "It was awesome to be up there and everything was real nice. I love the tradition there and being on campus gave me chills thinking about Notre Dame football."
After the event the Keystone State prospect found out that he picked up an offer from Temple.
"I was excited that they gave me the official offer," he said. "I'm also getting a lot of interest from Kent, Northwestern, Louisville and Michigan State. I think all those schools are very interested and could potentially offer soon."
He also did well at Penn State.
"There were a lot of coaches there and I thought I did well," he said. "I'm hoping for more interest after that."
Since the May evaluation period started, Cortazzo has heard from a lot of other schools.
"I have gotten calls from Syracuse, Notre Dame, Cincinnati, Akron, Pittsburgh and more," he said. "Out of all the calls I got, I really enjoyed talking to coach Hill at Pittsburgh and coach Moorhead at Akron. They were very personable guys that are down to earth and seem to care about their players."
Cortazzo hauled in 40 receptions for 750 yards and nine touchdowns last season.
