Junior to Watch: Markus McFadden

Position: Cornerback
Size and speed: McFadden is 5-foot-10 and weighs 180 pounds. He runs the 40-yard dash in 4.45 seconds, bench presses 270 pounds and squats 325. He has a 33-inch vertical.
Statistics: McFadden made 40 catches as a junior for 645 yards with seven touchdowns on offense. On defense he had six interceptions.
Honors: Team MVP.
Favorite Schools: Virginia Tech, Virginia, Duke, Marshall, Pitt, Army.
Skinny: McFadden plays the game at a fast pace and excels in man-to-man coverage. Although he had a stellar junior season, he’s not yet a household name to recruiters. That should change soon.
“He loves the game,” said his coach, Mike Rucker. “He’s always looking to improve and get better.”
McFadden isn’t sure where he’ll camp this summer and doesn’t have a clear favorite just yet.
