Cornerback down to Vols and Bulldogs

Batesville (Miss.) South Panola cornerback Mario Bobo returned home earlier today from an official visit to Mississippi State.
What did he think of the Bulldogs and their new coach Sylvester Croom?

"I just liked the school a lot," Bobo said. "Plus, the coach is new and he said everybody is going to start out at the same level, so that's good for me."
But, as much as Bobo enjoyed the official visit to Starkville, he still has one more official visit scheduled. He's slated to visit Tennessee on Jan. 23.
Bobo says that the Bulldogs and Vols have both offered scholarships, as has Ole Miss and Alabama.
But the 6-foot-1, 195-pound corner says he has narrowed his choices to the Vols and Bulldogs.
"It's going to be either Tennessee or Mississippi State," he said. "I've talked to some other schools, but that's what I'm going to do."
Bobo is one of the better cornerbacks in the Deep South, but has been considered a possible grade risk academically, which has curbed his recruitment somewhat.
Nonetheless, he's talented enough to still warrant the attention of major schools.
He made 90 tackles and had six interceptions as a senior.
