Corner cuts PSU

Rivals250 cornerback Jacques Rickerson out of St. Augustine, Fla. was planning to take an official visit this weekend to Penn State with teammate Brandon James. On Tuesday, the Nittany Lions coaches contacted the 5-foot-10, 176-pounder's coach to cancel the official visit for recruits as they plan for a big home game with Ohio State. Rivals.com caught up with Rickerson to get his take on the situation and where Penn State stands with him.
"All I've got to say about the situation is that they are missing out on a bunch of big recruits," he said. "They told us that they feel we're going to be a distraction and I don't want to be a distraction to anyone. They talked about rescheduling, but I'm not rescheduling with Penn State."

The four-star prospect also mentioned he doesn't plan to watch the game either.
Has Rickerson decided on any other teams for officials?
"I'm looking forward to taking officials to Clemson and West Virginia," he said. "Both of those schools have a lot of upperclassmen in the secondary and are really good teams. They also have produced a lot of cornerbacks recently."
Currently, the No. 29 cornerback in the country has visits scheduled with Tennessee on October 28th and Auburn on November 18th.
"I like both of their defenses especially the pass defenses," he said. "They also put their cornerbacks in a lot of man-to-man coverage which I like too."
This season Rickerson has helped St. Augustine to a 6-0 start.
