Corner Chad Green stock is hot

One of the hottest prospects on the west is cornerback/wide receiver Chad Green (6-0, 175, 4.4) from Lake Balboa (Calif.) Birmingham. Green and his teammates will be playing for all the marbles this evening.
The UCLA Bruins recently in the Green household and at that meeting the Bruins offered Green a scholarship offer and he admitted he is interested, but he is still weighing his options.

Green was scheduled to visit Washington this weekend but his travel plans had to change due to the fact Green and his Birmingham cohorts will be playing in the Los Angeles City Championship in a much anticipated rematch against Steve Smith and Woodland Hills (Calif.) Taft this Friday at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
Green has rescheduled his visit date to Washington on December 20th. UCLA commit and teammate Dennis Keyes will accompany him on that trip.
Green will take a rest after his UW visit and won’t hit the road again until after the holidays. Next trip on Green’s agenda will see him once again go to the northwest as he has an appointment with Mike Bellotti and the Oregon Ducks on January 10th.
ASU is next on Green’s agenda as he will be in Tempe January 17th to visit the Sun Devil campus. His last scheduled visit is to LSU on January 24th. Interesting enough LSU was the first school to offer Green a scholie.
Green has been outstanding on both sides of the ball and some schools are recruiting him as an “athlete” while Oregon State wants him as a wide receiver, but most schools like him as a cornerback.
Green is considered one of the best cornerback prospects in Southern California, but his play as a wide receiver this season has opened up the eyes of college scouts.
Not including his semi-final game against Gardena, Green had caught 42 passes for 1,082 yards and 14 touchdowns. He also had a school record 103 yard interception return for a touchdown two weeks in the quarter-final game against Los Angeles (Calif.) Fairfax.
“I knew I could at least get out to the 20 so I decided to go for it,” Green said about his record setting interception. “I just started to run and I went untouched for the touchdown.”
UCLA weren’t the only teams to recently offer this talented player a scholarship. Cal, Oregon State, Nebraska, Arizona and Washington State are also recent entries into the Green sweepstakes.
LSU, Oregon, Washington, and ASU have also tendered offers.
