Cornellier is one to watch

Jacksonville (Fla.) Bishop Kenny defensive end Steven Cornellier is a prospect to watch. The 6-foot-3, 225-pounder has yet to land a scholarship, but is getting a fair amount of interest already from schools across the country.
"I get letters all the time," he said. "I get a lot from Indiana, Ole Miss, Illinois, Kentucky and Air Force, probably those five the most.

"Indiana updates me on what they are doing and it's pretty much the same with the other schools."
Though no offers have come in, Cornellier is high on a few colleges.
"I guess my favorite college is Florida," he said. "I just grew up liking them since they are in Florida.
"I like Ole Miss, that is one of those schools I like along with Illinois."
Cornellier had a breakout junior season this past year posting all-district and all-city honors after registering approximately 75 tackles and 14 sacks.
"We won our district for the first time in 30 years," he said. "I started last year, but I got a lot bigger for this season and I think I'm faster now than most offensive linemen. That seems to help me. I think I'm also a pretty smart player."
Football runs in the family for Cornellier as his father played for Montana State.
