Jacksonville (Fla.) Bishop Kenny defensive end Steven Cornellier has landed two offers during the spring.
"I have offers from Florida International and Air Force," Cornellier said. "Florida International was my first one. It was relieving when I got that first one. I just really wanted to get one down, just to have an offer."
The 6-foot-3, 225-pound defensive end is still in the learning stages with regards to his two offers but has built a good rapport with the staff at Florida International.
"I have been talking to FIU for a long time so I know a lot about them," Cornelier said. "I don't know much about Air Force."
Cornellier also reports significant interest from Iowa State, Kentucky, South Florida, Southern Miss, and Wake Forest. Prior to spring practice beginning, the Northeast Florida product was able to travel to the University of South Florida for a visit.
"I went down there about a month ago," Cornellier said. "I really liked it. It was kind of their Junior Day thing. We all went on a tour. There were a bunch of recruits there. I really liked it. They didn't really talk to me much about an offer, we just kind of talked."
This summer Cornellier plans to visit Florida International. He also plans to participate in some camps.
As for reaching a final decision, Cornellier said he wasn't working with any sort of a timetable at this stage in the process.
