Cormier has Pac-12 favorite

Pierre Cormier said he's still considering all the programs recruiting him and he wants to take official visits but the San Diego (Calif.) Madison running back said one Pac-12 school is starting to inch ahead of the others.
Arizona has taken a big leap in the recruitment of Cormier, a 5-foot-10, 180-pound three-star running back who's rated No. 36 at his position and No. 50 in the California state rankings by Rivals.com.

Cormier is planning to take an unofficial visit to Arizona sometime this month and then will start figuring out his official visit schedule.
The trip to Tucson could be huge as Cormier looks at all his options.
"I'm looking forward to building a relationship with the coaches and learning about the school," Cormier said. "I want to see more about the football program and the school so I'm excited about it.
"They have moved up for me. They're probably in my top two right now. They're No. 1 right now. They're all equal but that's the one I'm definitely leaning toward right now."
So far, Cormier has landed offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Boise State, Fresno State, Nebraska, Nevada, Oregon State, Purdue, UCLA, Utah, Vanderbilt and Washington State.
As for official visits, Cormier said he definitely wants to see Boise State, Oregon State and Nebraska before making a decision.
Arizona looks good in his recruitment but Cormier said he still wants to take his time with recruiting.
In his junior season, Cormier rushed for 1,471 yards and 20 touchdowns.
