Corley will announce in July

Contrary to published reports, Pre-evaluation Rivals100 defensive end Sidell Corley of Mobile (Ala.) McGill-Toolen will not announce his college decision in May, according to his father, Sidell Corley Sr.
"July is going to be when he announces," Corley Sr. said. "Sidell has 38 scholarship offers and we are going to try to get to 25 of the schools for unofficial visits. If he announced in May, he wouldn't have time to see Oklahoma. He wouldn't have time to go out and see USC."

Corley said that his 6-foot-4, 265-pound son would likely be taking his college board tests the next two weeks.
"I talked to him about the possible May commitment date and we both agreed that it would be better to wait," he said.
Corley added that one school has jumped out in front and that if his son would have decided to announce in May, that this program would have been the likely destination.
"I can tell you that Florida is way on top right now and they are 100 miles in front of any other school," he said. "But he hasn't been to Oklahoma or a lot of other schools, so all of the other schools are in it, so that could change."
Corley said that Alabama currently sits in the No. 2 spot and held the lead for some time before the Gators overtook the Tide this past weekend. Auburn, Ole Miss, Miami (Fla.) and others also are among the favorites.
Corley, a three-year starter for his high school, had 80 tackles and six sacks in 2005.
