Corley planning more visits

Detroit (Mich.) King four-star wide receiver Donnie Corley came into July with a top five, but he ends the month with at least seven schools under consideration and more visits being planned.
"I'll be going to Michigan on Wednesday and then I'll probably go to their barbecue (Sunday)," Corley said. "I will be going to Michigan State soon. They want me to come down on the 3rd (of August), but I think some recruits are coming down on the 8th or 9th, so it could be either one of those dates."

Michigan State has been the perceived team to beat for Corley since the end of spring, but Michigan is a school he has not mentioned prominently in several months.
"I just want to give it another chance, get up there and see some more things and talk to the coaches more," Corley said.
An official visit has also been scheduled to LSU for the weekend of Sept. 4 Corley was once expected to announce his decision by the end of July, but now has a very open timetable.
"A lot of schools have jumped in and I've gotten to see different things happen with those schools," he said. "I wouldn't be surprised if I wait all the way to Signing Day. I wouldn't be surprised if I take all my officials now."
Corley is also coming off of two unofficial visits this past weekend. On Friday he traveled to Ohio State to check out the Buckeye's Friday Night Lights camp.
"I got a chance to talk with Mikey (Weber) and (Damon) Webb more, just see how they like it. Mikey said he loves it," Corley said. "I got to talk to Coach (Urban) Meyer more about how they would use me. They are definitely a strong (contender)."
After leaving Columbus, Corley met up with his teammate Martell Pettaway, a West Virginia commit, for a drive down to Morgantown to see the Mountaineers. It was his second visit to West Virginia in as many months.
"The first time there were a lot of guys from our team, so we didn't get a lot of time just to chill with the coaches. This time we did," Corley said. "Their facilities surprised me again. The first time I went they surprised me and they have some nice facilities. I got a chance to talk with their coach just about life after football and more stuff like that."
Other schools definitely under consideration for Corley include Georgia and Tennessee. The nation's No. 79 ranked prospect heads into his senior season after recording 47 catches for 1,087 yards and 18 touchdowns as a junior.
