Corbett a Nevada sleeper emerging

Sparks (Nevada) Reed offensive tackle Garrett Corbett is an line prospect that is starting to emerge from Northern Nevada. The 6-foot-5, 270-pounder has already picked up two offers and is hoping that more offers are on the way.
"It's pretty good, I'm just waiting and seeing what's going on," Corbett said. "The process has been good. I have two offers. I got the San Diego State one June 3, the last day of school, and the UNR one when I was up at their camp, which was like the 6th or 7th."

Corbett said it was at the Nevada camp that he really impressed the coaches at.
"It was good, I got to talk to their head coach, and he said they like what they see," Corbett said. "Coach Cameron Norcross has been recruiting me. I've watched them play over the years, and I know a couple kids – Tony Maldonado and Jeff Nady – who got scholarships there and said they really liked it there. And I want to major in sports medicine, and they have a really good program for it."
San Diego State is also an attractive offer.
"It's on the West Coast, and it's close to home," Corbett said. "Mark Smith has been recruiting me. Those two schools are pretty close on my list."
Corbett said other schools are showing heavy interest.
"UNLV and Washington are talking to me," he said. "My coach thinks Washington is going to offer during the season. I'm just waiting to see if there's more offers coming through the door. I'm just waiting until February to see what all's there."
Corbett knows that Sparks isn't exactly a hot spot for recruiters, but he's hoping he's got the tools to impress more people.
"My coach says I have good feet and good speed when I pull and run block," he said. "I feel like I'm a little under the radar. There was a bunch of talent on our team that went up to different schools, and I want to make sure I get noticed more."
