Cooper takes in camp, plans more trips

Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha defensive tackle Darian Cooper made a trip this past weekend. Where did the 6-foot-3, 275-pounder go and what is next for him at this time?
"I went down to Virginia Tech's camp," he said. "It went well. Honestly I thought I did pretty well in one-on-ones. It was a nice experience hanging out with Ricardo Young and Courtney Prince. They talked about the work ethic is takes to go there."
What did Tech think?

"Coach Wiles said he definitely was impressed with me in one-on-ones," he said. "They said they are reviewing my highlight tape and will get back to me within the week."
With Virginia Tech behind him, where is the three-star prospect headed from here?
"I've just been training getting ready for the upcoming season," he said. "I am still planning on taking some visits and getting to Georgia Tech, Michigan State and NC State. The Georgia Tech visits should be soon.
"After those visits, I plan on trying to get a top five by the end of the summer. I can't say for certain who'll make it. I want to make my rounds and then make some cuts."
