Cooper making SEC visit this month

Dallas Skyline safety Keanon Cooper has had quite the recruiting process so far, picking up several scholarship offers.
This summer, things have been quiet on the recruiting front but the 6-foot, 190-pounder is planning his next trip for later this month. Aside from that, he's also trying to narrow his list before setting up his official visits this fall.

"The next trip I'm looking at is Alabama and I'm going to be going there on July 21," Cooper said. "It will be for a camp there. That's really the only one I have planned and am considering taking right now. I got transportation to get down there. That's really how it's been with all my trips.
"I haven't received an offer in the mail from them, but they say they're highly considering me."
Cooper says that he doesn't have any favorites, but has a large list of schools he's looking at strongly.
"I'm just in the process of starting to eliminate schools to get it down for my five official visits," Cooper said. "On my list right now is Minnesota, Wisconsin, Georgia Tech, Alabama, Michigan, Oklahoma, Texas Tech, and West Virginia. Those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head.
"Everyone else isn't out of it, but I'm looking at those pretty hard right now."
This summer, Cooper says he's been getting his ankle back to full strength as well.
"It was kind of tight one morning and so now I'm just doing some physical therapy and they said I should be good to go in a couple weeks," Cooper said.
Cooper is rated as the No. 18 safety prospect in the nation. He had 63 tackles as a junior for Skyline.
