Cooper adds offer, claims favorite

Wilmington (N.C.) Hobgood Academy offensive guard Jonathan Cooper added his third offer recently. Who pulled the trigger on offering the 6-foot-3, 287-pounder?
"I got an offer from Buffalo," he said. "Now I have ones from East Carolina, Buffalo and North Carolina A&T.

"I think Wake Forest is close to offering pretty soon too. I've also been in touch with North Carolina, NC State and Duke."
Recently Cooper attended the Adidas Elite camp.
"I did well out there earlier this month," he stated. "I think I showed the coaches I can be a one-on-one blocker. My film showed a lot of timing, but I think I proved I'm not just a guy that hits little players in the open field."
Meanwhile, one school is starting to stick out for Cooper.
"I'd say Wake Forest is standing out pretty good," he said. "You can get a high education and still win a lot of football games there. I like that balance."
Though the Demon Deacons are leading, the Tar Heel State lineman is still looking around.
"I've got camps planned this summer to UNC, NC State, Wake Forest, Duke, ECU, Clemson and maybe South Carolina," he said. "I think I'd like to make a decision maybe sometime this summer, it'll depend on the offers.
"Basically, as far as what I'm looking for. I'd say winning isn't everything, but it is important and then high graduation rates are up there. I'd hate to go to a school just for football."
