Cook takes in camp, adds offers

Offers continue to pick up for Calvert Cook as he headed to his first camp over the weekend. The 5-foot-11, 216-pounder discussed that and much more inside.
"I went to Virginia Tech's camp and I had a good experience," he said. "It was nice seeing the campus and the coaches. I talked to the coaches and learned new stuff. I did well in one-on-ones and I still have to work on a little bit of my coverages.

"Coach Brown brought a lot of intensity to the one-on-ones."
Did the coaches say much after the camp?
"They just told me to keep trying out and not give up, I liked that type of motivation," he said. "That's about all, I didn't really talk to them afterwards."
In the meantime, Cook is adding offers.
"I've got eight offers, four more from Murray State, Howard, Hampton and Western Kentucky."
Does he like anybody?
"I really like Western Michigan and the Richmond offer," he said. "The Hampton one I like too cause I have teammates that will be going there to play, that could be a possibility for me going there."
Cook plans to head out in hopes of landing more offers soon.
"I'll be going to James Madison's camp and NC State wants me at camp," he said. "I'll be going to Virginia for a camp and 7-on-7 and Maryland also."
