Cook looks at summer camps

Tyler Cook has five camp dates set and with his decision date creeping up, the Murrieta (Calif.) Vista Murrieta linebacker could be providing a glimpse into some favorites.
Cook, a three-star prospect who will announce his commitment on Aug. 8, said he's planning to camp at Boise State, BYU, Vanderbilt, Miami and Yale so far. Others could happen but those are the dates Cook has set and what he's working with at this point.

"I haven't made that decision yet," Cook said. "I'll be able to make that decision once I can get out to some colleges, meet the coaches, get a little coaching underneath them and see which ones fit the best.
"So far those are the schools that have told me their camp dates so I'm taking them pretty seriously. Each one is going to be a huge aspect no matter who else comes up when I do make my decision."
Those five programs might have a slight edge for Cook but the 6-foot-3, 220-pound recruit does not want to eliminate any teams yet.
So far, the Vista Murrieta standout has landed offers from Arizona, BYU, Boise State, Colorado, Colorado State, Duke, Fresno State, Hawaii, Miami, Nevada, San Jose State, Utah State, Vanderbilt, Washington State and Yale.
The five schools where Cook will camp all hold something that interests him as the summer camp season heats up.
"I know BYU has a huge opportunity for me to start as a true freshman which is huge for me," Cook said. "Miami puts out NFL players unlike any other college. That's my goal and dream is to make it to the NFL.
"Yale is extremely high in academics. That's huge and it's hard to pass up. Boise's coaching staff is incredible. They have the same opportunity for me to start as a true freshman and it's a really nice place when I took my visit up there.
"Those are the ones I've been able to fit in my schedule. The others I really want to fit in, too, it just depends on their dates."
