Cook is wide open

Jonesboro (Ark.) offensive tackle Grant Cook has two scholarship offers and is getting serious attention from a number of other programs.
"Recruiting is going good," he said. "I've got the two offers from Oklahoma State and Arkansas."

The offer from the in-state Razorbacks came recently.
"I was real excited about it," he said. "Being an in-state kid and all, it's very exciting."
The 6-foot-6, 295-pounder also is getting heavy interest from Ole Miss, Tennessee, Georgia Tech and Mississippi State.
"I'm going to take all of my visits and shop around," Cook said. "I want to make the best choice for me because I have to spend the next four or five years in this place.
"I'm still wide-open. There is no one team ahead of the other."
It will be an interesting recruiting battle as several highly-regarded recruiters are hot on the trail of Cook. Danny Nutt is recruiting Cook for Arkansas. Doug Meacham is the recruiter of record for Oklahoma State. Steve Caldwell is leading the charge for Tennessee and J.B. Grimes for Mississippi State. All are solid recruiters.
Cook has been working on his strength and recently increased his bench press max to 290 pounds, up from a previous high of 260.
He plans to attend as many camps as possible, including the Baton Rouge NIKE Camp on Sunday at Louisiana State University.
