Connecticut sleeper has offers

Sleeper wide receiver Marcus Cooper out of Bloomfield, Conn. is beginning to catch the eye of quite a few schools. Already, the 6-foot-1, 180-pounder holds four offers and is getting looks from the ACC and Big Ten.
"I've got offers right now from Troy, Central Delaware, Buffalo and Temple," he said. "I'm happy about getting offered, but I'm looking around."

Two major Division I schools are taking notice of the Connecticut prospect.
"Iowa and Boston College are a couple of the schools showing interest," he said. "They both think I'm a top wide receiver. Boston College hasn't said too much about an offer, while I went to Iowa this past Saturday.
"The campt was pretty good. I did one-on-ones, passing instruction with the coaches and it was a good experience. I liked it there, although the coaches said they want to see my first three games before they offer."
Later this month, Cooper plans to attend camps at Temple, Buffalo and Rutgers.
Following the visit to Iowa, Cooper is favoring the Hawkeyes.
"I'd say Iowa leads right now," he said. "Mainly it's because I got a vibe from the coaches. They have good coaching there and I developed a relationship with them."
Cooper earned all-state honors last season after hauling in 56 receptions for 1,200 yards and 18 touchdowns.
