Playing at Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peter's Prep, KJ Miles is used to the tough competition of the northern New Jersey private school league and it helped him become one of the most sought after defensive linemen on the east coast. Georgia Tech, Texas, and Wisconsin got Miles on campus for official visits in June but Geoff Collins and his staff were lucky enough to land his commitment.

WHAT THE YELLOW JACKETS ARE GETTING...

Miles is a hard-nosed interior defensive lineman that can win at the point of attack. He does a nice job of playing with leverage and using his hands to disengage with the offensive lineman. Miles is a disciplined run defender that limits cutback lanes and is a sure tackler. As long as he is healthy, Miles should turn into a regular contributor Georgia Tech.

WHY IT'S BIG FOR GEORGIA TECH...

Coach Collins is getting a very solid defensive lineman in Miles that can be counted on to make plays when he's on the field. He plays with a lot of energy and that's something Georgia Tech has been locking for from their defensive linemen. Miles is just he first defensive lineman to commit to Georgia Tech's 2022 recruiting class and more are certainly on the way.
