The Seminoles fought to the end for Hollywood (Fla.) athlete Edwin Joseph beating out a crowded field for the four-star’s signed NLI. Penn State, Auburn, Louisville, and South Carolina were among the teams pining for the Chaminade-Madonna Prep do-all talent, but Florida State had the winning magic keeping him in-state for college.

WHAT FLORIDA STATE IS GETTING

Season to season, Joseph has put the work in on his game making big strides along the way. Starting his high school career as a receiver, during his senior run with the Lions he added corner to his list of responsibilities. Joseph is burner on offense that can work the sidelines and middle of the field. His game grew throughout his senior campaign on defense. The Seminoles are getting a lunch pail guy in the 2023 class with great overall athleticism.

WHY THIS IS BIG FOR THE SEMINOLES

Joseph’s strong work ethic and athleticism are a win-win combination for head coach Mike Norvell and his staff. One area in this recruiting cycle where FSU has done exceedingly well is at the receiver position. Vandrevius Jacobs, Darren Lawrence, and five-star receiver Hykeem Williams is a great grouping.

The added win with Joseph is pulling a top talent out of the South Florida area, an area that was highly contested among in-state programs.
