One of the most electric receivers in the 2023 recruiting class went off the board on Wednesday when Cayden Lee signed with Mississippi. The recruiting battle between Ole Miss and UCF went down to the last second landing a player wanted across the country.

WHAT OLE MISS IS GETTING

Mississippi is getting a talent that is a perfect fit for head coach Lane Kiffin’s offense. Lee’s quickness in and out of his breaks leaves defensive backs in the dust creating big windows for quarterbacks. He has the speed to be a vertical threat and the burst to work as an inside receiver. The Rebels are getting a versatile piece to their offense that will keep defenses honest.

Lee had a big senior campaign pulling down 74 passes for 1,101 yards with 13 touchdowns with 7A defenses keying on the Kennesaw Mountain Mustangs’ receiver.

WHY THIS IS BIG FOR THE REBELS

Given head coach Lane Kiffin’s offensive mind and Lee’s athleticism, this is a match made in football heaven. Lee has the opportunity to be an explosive All-SEC kind of performer with Ole Miss. Fans should be very excited about this signing.

IN HIS WORDS

“I can’t wait to get there early and make an immediate impact,” Lee said.
