What the Wildcats are getting:

Barrion Brown has an elite combination of skill and speed, and also goes down as one of Kentucky's highest rated receiver recruits ever. Although on the thinner side right now, he has the frame to add plenty of mass in a college weight program. His ability to hit the home-run play is like that of few other prospects in the nation. He is more than just a straight-line track speed prospect, as he is just as likely to take a wildcat QB play the distance as he is to stretch the field with the deep ball catch. Brown has the ability to be an elite return man at the next level as well, and you have to look no further than his 10.49 100 meter track time as evidence of that. His speed should allow him to be a contributor from day one for Kentucky. Once he develops physically and reaches his full potential, Brown is the type of player that you could be watching on Sundays in a couple of years.

Why it's big for Kentucky:

There are few instances in which you will see Kentucky beat Alabama on a recruit, so this is as big as it gets for the Wildcats. Brown becomes the eight four-star commit in this Kentucky class, and is an exclamation point to an already impressive group that ranked number 19 in the nation prior to his commitment. This keeps the momentum going for Kentucky as they head into signing day, and gives them another weapon for an offense that already shows flashes of it’s potency. This continues the trend of Kentucky winning big recruiting battles, and bodes well for the future of Kentucky football.
