One the biggest surprises during the Early Signing Period was seeing four-star defensive end Keldric Faulk flip his commitment from Florida State to Auburn. The Tigers had been working the in-state talent from Highland Home High School getting his signed NLI.

WHAT AUBURN IS GETTING

Faulk is one of the best in the 2023 class at collapsing the pocket. With an assortment of moves and speed, opposing quarterbacks have to be mindful of their time in the pocket with Faulk hanging around. Faulk can seal the edge and take on the run; Auburn is getting a complete end who can impact the depth chart early.

WHY THIS IS BIG FOR AUBURN

Any recruiting wins the new staff can get, especially with in-state players, goes a long way. Faulk giving his seal of approval to Hugh Freeze and his new staff sends a signal to other state of Alabama and regional players that the Tigers will be a force again in the future.

On the talent front, in the SEC teams have to have a guy that will move quarterbacks off their mark and hurry up their delivery, Faulk is that guy. This is a great win for Auburn.
