Commitment breakdown: Arkansas lands four-star RB Jamarion Parker

Arkansas landed its running back of the future when class of 2025 Rivals250 running back Jamarion Parker announced his commitment to the program via Twitter Friday afternoon.

The St. Louis (Mo.) Cardinal Ritter standout chose Arkansas over a final group of schools that also included Purdue, Tennessee, Michigan State, Oregon, Louisville and Oklahoma. Parker joins defensive back Marcus Wimberly and quarterback Grayson Wilson to become the Razorbacks third commit in a 2025 class that now ranks No. 18 overall following his announcement.

What the Razorbacks are getting...

The Missouri native is as complete as they come with a plus frame, dynamic cutting ability and legit track speed - running a personal best of 10.99 in the 100 meters his freshman track season. After missing his sophomore year, Parker kicked his junior season off with a bang by running for 199 yards and a touchdown during Ritter's 52-6 victory over McCluer week one.

Parker will add an extra dimension to the Razorback's rushing attack as his ability as a pass catcher is equal to that as a rusher and he is capable of hitting the home run from multiple spots on the field. Parker is listed as an all-purpose back, but with the skill-set to play pretty much any skill position on the field, he is an athlete in every sense of the word.

As good as Parker is right now, he's at a relatively raw stage of his development and his best football is definitely in front of him. This is a huge recruiting win for Sam Pittman and running backs coach Jimmy Smith as Parker is one of the best players in the 2025 class regardless of position.
