Commitment analysis: Rivals100 DE Desmond Evans to North Carolina

Desmond Evans burst onto the scene as a freshman at Sanford (N.C.) Lee County and he quickly picked up offers as he moved into his sophomore season. Throughout his recruitment, the Rivals100 defensive end showed an affinity for teams that are within driving distance of home. North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, and Virginia Tech emerged as his top contenders. Evans has visited all four of those schools multiple times but the school that got him on campus the most, North Carolina, ended up landing his commitment.
