Commissiong doubles offers

Defensive tackle Darius Commissiong has doubled his offers in the past week. The 6-foot-3, 285-pounder is up to four scholarships, pulling a pair of offers from the ACC late last week.
"He got offered by Virginia and Maryland last week," Bishop McNamara head coach Brice Bevill said. "He hasn't really had time to even react to them. He got the offers and then he was on the plane to the Army All-American combine to perform with some of the best players in the country."

How'd he do?
"I was there and he did well," his coach said. "He played defensive tackle and did some one-on-ones. He got to the cone several times against quality athletes. Judging from the outside, he had a pretty good day."
Aside from the offers, Commissiong has other interest too.
"His stock is definitely rising," he said. "Boston College is really interested in him. I know there are some schools coming through that have shown some interest."
According to his coach, Commissiong is still open.
"Right now he's wide open, it's still new to him and just starting for him. By the summer, it's going to pick up and that's when he'll narrow it down as we get closer to the season."
In terms of his junior year, Bevill gave his take.
"He finished out the year very strong," he said. "He led our defense in sacks and tackles. He played very well. I know he ended the last game with 17 tackles against DeMatha.
"There was a difference this year in his play. He was more aggressive and more disciplined. He's a heck of a talent. He's strong and quick and has a lot of discipline. This year he became a leader and grew up a lot for us."
