Comfort led Rivals250 OT Malik Ellis to Mississippi State

Mississippi State landed a big addition to its 2023 recruiting class over the weekend, as Rivals250 offensive tackle Malik Ellis announced his pledge to the Bulldogs on social media.

Ellis is the highest rated member of Mississippi State’s three-man class. The Bulldogs also have commitments from three-star Lexington (Miss.) defensive end Joseph Head and three-star Bay Springs (Miss.) running back Ty Jones.

The Laurel (Miss.) offensive tackle chose the Bulldogs over an offer sheet that includes the likes of Auburn, Missouri, Ole Miss, and Oregon. In the end, the opportunity to play close to home played a role in Ellis joining the Bulldogs’ class.

“This is where I want to be. I can stay close to home,” Ellis said.
