In-state standout Wes Exum from Thornton (Colo.) Horizon caught up with Rivals.com to discuss the latest with his recruitment.
"I don't have any offers right now, but I've been talking to few colleges and hopefully the offers come in after the camps," Exum said. "Wyoming and Colorado State have been in touch with me the most. I've been to both of their junior days. I went to CSU's and they also invited me to their games last season."
The versatile defender has the frame (6-foot-2, 205 pounds) and range that defensive coaches covet.
"Wyoming wants me to come in and play stand up linebacker/defensive-end for them and the same with CSU I think," Exum said. "It just depends on how (I develop) because I've got a tall body, long arms. So they see me as a hybrid."
Humble (Texas) Atascocita running back Patrick Taylor Jr. made the trek from the Houston-area to showcase his talent. The 6-2, 210-pound athlete reports an offer from Colorado State go along with interest from Baylor and TCU. His size and speed should caught the attention of Big 12 schools during the spring evaluation period.
