Combine comparison: From prospect to pro

More than 300 former college stars recently took part in the 2009 NFL Scouting Combine hoping to impress the 600-plus NFL personnel in attendance. Many of these same players went through a similar experience when they were potential college prospects still in high school and was there.
Here is a look at how some of the numbers compare for the players saw at camps and combines before their senior seasons in high school.
Note: The testing surface used to time the 40 and shuttle varies by venue. Nike Training Camps began using SPARQ electronic timing in 2005 and used handheld times before that. The biggest improvements in each category below noted with red text.
