Colton star picks up two more offers

Three-star wide receiver/defensive back Jimmy Smith (6-1, 175, 4.5) from Colton, Calif., has come a long way in the recruiting process since Rivals.com first introduced you to the talented player all those months ago.
At one time, Smith was somewhat overshadowed by his two Colton teammates five-star Allen Bradford and four-star Shareece Wright but now he is beginning cast a pretty large shadow of his own.

Smith is up to seven offers. His two latest offers come from Hawai'i and Washington State.
The Warriors and the Cougars join Boise State, Nevada, UNLV, Colorado State, and Nebraska as teams that have offered scholies.
In January, Smith will take three visits out of a pool that consists of Nebraska, Colorado State, Washington State and Hawai'i. There may be more schools added to the list it all depends on how his recruitment goes over the next month plus.
Smith has already taken two visits to Nevada and Boise State. He just took a visit to Boise State but that was before it was found out that Bronco head coach Dan Hawkins was up for the Colorado job and now appears that Hawkins is headed to CU.
"My trio to Boise State are really nice," Smith said. "But it looks like their coach is leaving."
"I saw it tonight (Dec. 14th) on ESPN that the deal was done," Smith said. "That shakes things up for Boise State a little."
USC looks like they are beginning to show serious interest.
"USC called the other day and asked for my transcripts," Smith said. "I wasn't available but they contacted my coach."
Things are just really beginning to heat up for Smith.
