Colorado WR still open

There weren't many receivers we liked more during the NIKE Football camp tour than Denver (Colo.) Montbello standout Drew Davis. The talented wide out earned 2nd team NIKE Camp All-American and should definitely be mentioned among the nation's best players at his position.
Despite putting up solid numbers as a junior, we didn't know a lot about Davis prior to seeing him at the NIKE Camp. He caught 45 balls for 988 yards and 16 touchdowns and earned all-state honors as a junior. After watching him catch passes for about five minutes at USC, sight of the NIKE camp, we became believers.

At 6-1, 195 pounds, Davis has a great frame and looks like a college player right now. During the position drills, the WR coaches were buzzing about him saying things like, 'hey, come over and see TO (Terrell Owens), this dude is the real deal.'
Davis caught every pass thrown to him and looked every bit as fast as the 4.54- 40 time he clocked. He physically manhandled the defensive backs in press coverage and had the speed to run away from the corners once he beat them off the line.
On the recruiting front, Davis said he's open although Colorado sounds like the team to beat.
"The coach recruiting me from Colorado, Coach Kiesau, has been recruiting me for a couple of years now, ever since he was at Cal," Davis said. "Plus the school is close to home and I think the program is going in the right direction. I'm looking forward to seeing how the team plays this year with a new offense, new everything really.
"Honestly, I'm just open to everyone though. Arizona State has been recruiting me really hard. Arizona, Washington, UCLA, Kansas State, Iowa State, I have a pretty big list still. I know I'll have to narrow it soon because I plan on taking my trips during the season and I'll be graduating early so I'll be able to enroll in the spring at whatever school I commit to."
