Denver (Colo.) Mullen wide receiver Stephone Robinson has trimmed his list to five schools.
"I'm just looking at five," the 5-foot-10, 180-pound Robinson said. "The top five are Colorado, Oregon, Oklahoma, UCLA and USC."
Robinson did just return from Colorado football camp.
"I did get down to CU's camp last weekend," Robinson said. "I think I showed my talents pretty good there. I'm not ready to commit just yet to anywhere there."
Robinson has been noticing a trend in this year's recruiting.
"A lot of people are committing early this year. I will schedule some trips and get the
vists lined up. Lots of people are choosing their schools early. That is causing scholarship offers to disappear at some schools when they fill a need. I don't want to have a decision made for me."
Robinson continues to say that academics will be a big factor in his school choice.
"I want to find a place that has good academics and one that has a good athletics program. And one has a good atmosphere. Right now, I'm thinking of majoring in psychology or sociology. I'll look at those programs at the schools I visit and try to find what is best for me that way too."
