Colorado WR hard to miss

It's hard to believe that some how Englewood (Colo.) Kent Denver receiver Ian Ferrell has gone under the radar screen to national recruiters, but he has. The 6-foot-5, 206-pound two-star receiver/safety is quickly establishing himself as one of the better prospects in Colorado and the more people see with him, the more they like him.
"I'm a big, physical and strong receiver," Ferrell, who earned all-area honors in class 2A as a junior, said. "I'm fast and I can get down the field quickly. I'm also 6-5, so I have a height advantage over defenders and I can go up, and get the ball."

Ferrell said he timed at 4.5-seconds at the Colorado summer camp and he's already got one offer on his resume from Colorado State assistant coach Mick Delaney.
"Coach Delaney is really nice," he said. "I've gotten to know him pretty well, and he's always told me that I'm a key recruit in-state for them."
Ferrell said CU assistant coach Mike Hankwitz has also been calling him on a regular basis and he's also talked to Wyoming, Utah and Washington in September.
"I like talking to coach Hankwitz," he said. "I've not talked to them about an offer yet, but I'm hoping that they will offer some time soon. Even though I have an offer from CSU, I'm keeping my options open."
Ferrell also said several Ivy League schools have shown interest in him.
