Colorado standing out to Riordan

Jordan Riordan has proven to be a versatile defensive back this offseason playing both safety and cornerback in the passing league circuit. During the football season, though, he also doubles as an important offensive weapon for Los Angeles Loyola.
As a result, the 5-foot-11, 170-pound prospect has seen his recruitment pick up some in the last few weeks.

"Things are going really well for me right now," Riordan said. "Colorado, Washington, Nevada, Penn and Dartmouth -- those are the five that have been recruiting me the hardest."
Riordan expects all five of those programs -- plus Michigan and Hawaii -- to swing through his school soon during the spring evaluation period.
And after that's over and done with, Riordan intends to hit the road himself. He has a trip lined up to see the Buffaloes in late June.
"Coach (Charles) Clark, the cornerbacks coach, wants me to get up there," Riordan said. "Myles Bryant, David Long and I are going to Colorado and I know for sure we're going to the Colorado camp, too. We're also going up to Washington this summer. We'll probably go to other camps as they come up."
Riordan said he keeps daily communication with both Clark and Huskies assistant Jimmy Lake, who has been recruiting him heavily. Yet given his longstanding relationship with Colorado, the two-way athlete said an offer from the Buffaloes would be very difficult to turn down.
"I've grown up watching the Pac-12 Conference and there are a few guys -- Devin Ross and Shay Fields -- I know that have gone there," Riordan said. "They're getting a lot of playing time, and I've been talking with them and asking how it is there. I know when I get out there in June, I'll know for sure.
"With coach Clark, I want to be loyal to him because he's showing the most interest. It's really about whoever shows the most interest and you want to reciprocate that."
Riordan had 42 total tackles, an interception and forced a fumble as a junior last fall. He also caught 40 passes for 464 yards and a touchdown.
