Colorado Sleeper to trip West

There is an offensive line prospect that is beginning to make a name for himself in Jeff Kendall (6-4, 285, 4.93) from Colorado Springs (Colo.) Air Academy. Not much was known about him earlier in the recruiting process because he only weighed 240 pounds a year ago. Kendall has put on 45 pounds of muscle on since then and D-I schools have taken notice.
Kendall has received two offers from Mountain West foes Colorado State and Air Force. He is also getting solid recruiting action from Colorado, Stanford and Oregon.

“So far this summer I have attended the CU recruit combine, and I took a trip out to Palo Alto for three days to get to know the coaches at Stanford and The Farm," said Kendall. “They told me I did extremely well at CU and am now receiving a lot of attention from the Buffs.”
“I received an application from Stanford so I can get started to make it easier for them,” Kendall said. “I leave for Oregon on Wednesday, the 30th, and will return the following Tuesday. I have developed a close relationship with Coach (Neal) Zoumboukos since February and I think my drive out there will be worth while.”
Kendall is a very durable offensive lineman who has started every varsity game his team as played since his since his sophomore and he made first-team all-conference and all-area for his junior season performance. He was one of his team’s two MVPs and was also a team captain, no small feat for a junior.
Kendall is a hard worker who is constantly putting in the effort to be the best football player he can be.
“I'm what you would call a late bloomer,” Kendall said. “I finally stopped getting taller and am now beginning to fill out. My weight lifting has sky-rocketed and I am ready to establish myself as one of the top lineman next year.”
Kendall has a great frame, the kind that the D-I schools love because he can gain more weight without losing any of his outstanding quickness.
Kendall will be joined by another outstanding prospect that has recently moved in the neighborhood.
“You may have heard of Matt Slauson (6-6, 310, 5.1) from Oregon,” Kendall said. “He has transferred to our school and we will be playing on the same side next year. We're already dreaming of a state title, but so is everybody else.”
Kendall will play be playing offensive guard, center, and defensive end for Air Force Academy but he projects as a center or guard on the collegiate level.
