Colorado sleeper gets Pac10 offer

Offensive lineman Jeff Kendall (6-4, 285, 4.93) from Colorado Springs (Colo.) Air Academy came into the recruiting season as a sleeper. There was a good reason for that; he only weighed 240 pounds a year ago. Since then Kendall has put on 45 pounds of muscle on since then and D-I schools have taken notice.
This sleeper is beginning to wake up many western schools.

Kendall has received two offers from Mountain West foes Colorado State and Air Force. He just picked up his third from Oregon.
As Rivals reported last week Kendall went on his road trip to Eugene and obviously it was a very productive.
In our previous interview with Kendall, he said, “I leave for Oregon on Wednesday, the (July) 30th, and will return the following Tuesday. I have developed a close relationship with Coach (Neal) Zoumboukos since February and I think my drive out there will be worth while.”
It was.
This talented offensive lineman is also getting a lot of love from Stanford and Colorado.
Kendall attended the Colorado recruit combine and also took an unofficial visit to “The Farm”.
Since those two unofficial visits Kendall is now getting a lot of attention from both CU and Stanford.
Kendall is a very durable offensive lineman who has started every varsity game his team as played since his since his sophomore and he made first-team all-conference and all-area for his junior season performance. He was one of his team’s two MVPs and was also a team captain, no small feat for a junior.
“I'm what you would call a late bloomer,” Kendall said. “I finally stopped getting taller and am now beginning to fill out. My weight lifting has sky-rocketed and I am ready to establish myself as one of the top lineman next year.”
Kendall has a great frame, the kind that the D-I schools love because he can gain more weight without losing any of his outstanding quickness.
Kendall’s stock is definitely on the rise and we expect several more offers before the recruiting season is done.
