CHANGE AT COLORADO: Five realistic candidates for Colorado's vacancy

Mike MacIntyre has been fired as Colorado’s coach, athletic director Rick George announced Sunday morning. After the Buffaloes started the season 5-0, they have lost six games in a row including a 30-7 decision to Utah on Saturday. Here is early reaction from many of Colorado’s commits.

"It’s been a crazy morning with the coach Mac news, my heart goes out to him and his family. I am sitting down with my parents now to talk things through. With this news, the semifinal to focus on next weekend and other schools hitting me up already this morning it has been crazy. Right now I would really like to know what will happen with coach Roper and coach Chev as soon as possible. They have families and along with the other assistant coaches are the key to all the recruits."

"That’s crazy, yeah it changes a lot because I liked coach Mac a lot as a person and a coach and to see him go like that sucks and changes a lot for me not knowing what the future holds in Colorado and the coaching staff but if the report is true then I will officially decommit."

"I love Colorado. It’s a great school but i really don’t wanna go to a school if the head coach gets fired because to me it feels like nobody knows what they are doing or what’s going on so I don't know right now. I’m still with Colorado but I want to sit down with my parents and talk this out."

"I heard about the firing. As of right now I’m still committed. My family and I are concerned though."

"It doesn’t change my commitment, but it really sucks, but its also part of the business sadly."

"I am 100 percent still committed to Colorado and appreciate everything coach Mac did for me, my family and the program."

"It doesn’t change my commitment."

"I just heard the news. As of now I am keeping my commitment and will wait and see who they will be getting as a new head coach."

"Right now I’m just going to keep to myself and talk with my family about the situation."
