Colorado RB narrowing focus

Littleton (Colo.) Chatfield running back Lendale White has slowly begun to narrow his focus on the number of schools he is considering.
"I don't really have a favorite," White said. "I'm really looking at just eight schools right now."
Those eight are Southern Cal, Texas, Kansas State, Pittsburgh, Oregon, Michigan, Ohio State and Georgia Tech.
"I'm looking at schools outside of Colorado. I don't want to go to college in-state. They don't send me anything at all. I haven't heard from them in quite a while."
The 6-foot-2, 225 pound running back is still awaiting his first scholarship offer. "I don't have an official offer yet. Several schools have said they will if I came to their camp or later on during the season." White's camp schedule includes planned trips to USC, Texas, Georgia Tech and maybe Kansas State.
White, who is one of the top backs in the nation, is looking for a place he can play right away. "I want to play early. I'm not saying I need to be the starter, but I want to be able to contribute right away."
