Colorado OL lands offer No. 1

One of the top lineman in the Midlands region next year will be Andrew Sampson. The Colorado native recently picked up his first scholarship offer and has a solid top five right now.
Sampson, 6-4, 275 pounds from Aurora (Colo.) Overland earned all-conference and second team all-state honors last season. He plays on both sides of the ball at the high school level but projects as an offensive guard at the next level.

On the recruiting front, Sampson is hearing from schools all over the country and received his first offer from Pac 10 country.
"I just received my first offer from Washington," Sampson said. "It was exciting to get that first one and this definitely puts Washington high on my list. I'm for sure taking an official visit to Washington and I'm very interested in getting to know more about their program and their coaching staff.
"I'm also hearing from Notre Dame, Michigan, UCLA, Washington State, Cal, Colorado , Cal, Kansas State, Illinois and Iowa State. Right now, I have no plans to make an early commitment. I still want to go through the process and learn more about each of these schools before I narrow my list down.
"Right now, my top five would be Michigan, USC, Colorado, Kansas State and Washington. I'm planning to camp with Kansas State and Colorado and will also attend the NIKE Camp at Colorado in June. I'm looking for a school with a strong football program where I'll have an opportunity to play."
Academically, Sampson is carrying a 3.4 GPA and plans to major in Exercise Science.
