Colorado LB now focused on recruiting

Football season is over for Cherry Creek (Colorado) High School but middle linebacker John Martin is still very involved.
“We finished a disappointing 6-4 this year,” the 6-foot-3, 220-pound Martin said. “We had a few bad bounces but that’s the way it goes. Personally, I thought I had a good season.”

Martin finished his season with 112 tackles, six sacks and two blocked punts.
Currently, he doesn’t’ have any offers on the table.
“I had two offers early, from Colorado and Washington, but they both rescinded them. Washington got the linebacker they had listed ahead of me and Colorado has asked me to gray-shirt because they lost some scholarships.”
Schools showing the most interest in Martin right now are Kansas State, Missouri, and South Dakota State. Texas has recently started showing some
Interest.
“I don’t have any official visits set up yet, I’m still working on those. I like Kansas State, I’m planning on visiting there. I’ll also probably visit Texas A & M and Texas.”
