Colorado LB likely headed to juco

Denver (Colo.) Montbello linebacker Durell Williams was scheduled to visit New Mexico State a couple weeks ago, but the visit didn’t happen.
“I didn’t go to New Mexico State,” the 6-foot-3, 200-pound Williams said. “I decided not to go, and they had some concerns about my grades. That was the only official visit I had lined up.

“I took an unofficial to Colorado the weekend of January 16. They are worried about my grades, too. They want to see how it goes for me the rest of the semester. If it doesn’t work out for me grade wise, I’ll be going to Garden City Community College.”
The chance still exists he could make the necessary grades.
“If it all goes right this spring, I can make it to Division I,” he said. “If I make it, I will go to Colorado.”
