Colorado DB to take a few early looks

Englewood (Colo.) Cherry Creek defensive back Darin McDonald knows all about the recruiting process having had his older brother Darnell go through the process at the highest levels.
"It is going pretty good," the 6-foot-3, 185-pound McDonald said. "Not quite as hectic as Darnell went through, at this point.

"I am hearing from Michigan State a lot. I am also getting quite a bit of stuff from Arizona State, Colorado State, UCLA and Georgia Tech, too. All of them are high on my list, but I don't really have a favorite school among them."
McDonald plans to take a few trips this summer to get an early start on viewing some schools.
"I am going to take a couple of recruiting trips just to see what colleges have to offer. I am going to go to UCLA this summer. I also will try to get to Arizona State and Oklahoma. I don't have the dates set, but I am working on it."
McDonald is being recruited to play in the secondary, but is open as to which position.
"Most schools are recruiting me as a safety and some as a cornerback. Doesn't matter to me. I can handle either one, so whatever the coaches feel I would best at, I'll do it."
