Colorado CB awaiting first offer

Denver (Colo.) Cherry Creek cornerback Van Cooper has no firm offers yet, but that may change in the next few days.
"Arizona has told me that a written offer is forthcoming," Cooper said. "They would be the first one."

Cooper moved to Denver from Detroit during the summer of 2001, says he still gets a steady flow of letters from Missouri, Oklahoma State, Arizona, Nebraska, Utah, Oregon, Colorado and Auburn.
"My top five schools are Oregon, Arizona, Auburn, Nebraska and Colorado," the 6-foot-2, 195-pounder said. "Oregon and
Auburn are slightly ahead of the other three."
With Oregon and Auburn high on his list, and an offer from Arizona expected this week,
Cooper is not averse to going far from home.
"I am willing to go anywhere," Cooper said. "I just want to play football. I'll go out of state or stay near here, it doesn't matter either way with me."
